Radio-controlled aerial photography training program FlySafe will be holding a three-day training conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, beginning on September 26, 2014. The course will include an introduction to aircraft and flight systems, First-Person View flying and video downlinks, autonomous flight, maintenance and technical issues, government affairs and regulatory considerations, and more. For further information go the FlySafe site.
The Roswell Flight Test Crew will be returning as guest instructors at the conference. To give prospective attendees at the Las Vegas training an inside look at the program, they put together this video about their participation in FlySafe earlier this year in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It includes testimonials from students, as well as Rich Hanson, the Government Affairs Director for the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and Cliff Whitney of Atlanta Hobby.
